Non profits do report to their internal funders, but should remember the greater public has interests in how they support their mission as well, especially because many of these organizations benefit from programs funded by the public. Most non profits don't have quite the marketing savvy that IC has clearly demonstrated, which I'm sure contributes to the uproar for accountability, but if these organizations did, I wonder how active the public would be in questioning the internal financial framework of Kiva or Akerfa. God has given me the opportunity to wake up this morning, breathe his fresh air and carry out any tasks that he has set forth for me. I personally thank him every chance that I get in order to praise him for the blessings he has showered me with. Many people truly do not understand what its like to experience living in poverty. Imagine being anywhere between the ages of 9-15 and you work for scraps just to help your family try and do the impossible, "making ends meet." Ends don't meet, ends just end. Therefore your childhood is taken from you because of the unfortunate situation you were brought up in. After reading this blog, I certainly realize that Zintathu is a living testimony, who has proven that with God anything is possible. And definitely not a waste of time or money. This is so inspirational. And I'm reading that same exact book. On day 2 of course. I've been posting my favorite quotes from each day on Facebook. My new years resolution is to actually remember scripture and be able to quote verses. And understanding the bible more on a historical level and devotional level. It's great that your going to be telling others about little and some big organizations. A lot of people need help out there and it's up to us to help them.
